A day in the life of me-me-meeee!

Thursday and Sundays are cleaning days here.
BUT!
Today, the house is still clean from Sunday. I can still slide across these floors like i'm ice skating and not get stuck in a sticky patch. {{these kids are super at somehow getting this house stickified all over, in record time.}}
Bible Study starts back up tonight! sweet!
I am so happy that it's spring!
I'm not going to write alot. BUT i will post lots of pictures of Shpringy-ness and my lovelies!
NOTE: THIS WAS THURSDAY OF LAST WEEK ( AIDAN'S SPRING BREAK )



5:30am I'm standing @ the sink filling up the coffee pitcher wondering if it's going to be a washout. " drip-drip DROP, little april showers..."



The day ended up being a BE-AHHH-UTY!


I rewarded myself after surviving Wegman's for 80 minutes with these three kids.
NO they weren't bad. they were awesome and we had alot of fun actually.. no hitting " i want-ing" or loudness.. for 80 minutes.. yeah that's right! I just wanted to buy these two favorites for myself.. is that so bad?

We went and found Shawn on his mail route, surprised him with lunch and joined some fun at the park!
How nice it must be for my baby girl to wake up from her siesta to see her handsome daddy smiling at her, mid sandwich!

Aiv's drives me nuts with her changing clothes all the time, and her obsession with outfits.. where does she get this from?? Maybe I should embrace it? Not so much though, when it's making me late to get Aidan into school! Or when she starts school 5 months from now!
There are some days when Aidan does get tired.. No he's not in time out, nor did i place him there.. he just took a breather.. doesnt he look so sad.. he wasnt. I asked him "Aidan are you alrright?" he jumped up, giggle and happy ran to me saying "Yes mum!"

Our Le petite Artiste is always drawing me pictures. I love this one of " you and daddy holding hands under a rainbow." well not quite but I smiled and hugged her. I love my fat hand with my rings on it, and that Aiva recognized daddy's manly arm hair. NOTE: MY husband is not a hairy gross hairy man. I love how little people notice the little things!
Aidan is taking up some art too! NOTICE A & I he's getting there on writing his name..

I love this soap.. oh it smells so good and leaves your hands smelling so beautiful. AND can you guess what we had for dinner?

One of those days.

So this morning, we were already running late. Aidan was eating his oatmeal at a snails pace. Aiva switched her outfit 3 times before I found her hiding in her room under a blanket knowing i would be mad at her for changing out of what i had originally gave her.
I changed Maive's #2 diaper, got her up in hopes she would find something to occupy herself while I got Aidan's sock's and shoes on. It was a scatterbrained morning ( isn't it always with you JULIE, you ask? ) yes, yes it is.
I'm dirty blonde, and bleach it to platinum, what do you expect from me?
It was 8:30 and we were supposed to be in the car backing out of the garage.. but had a long ways to go..
As I finished tieing Aidan's shoe i took a deep breath and reached for Maive's diaper to pony express it to the diaper pal... only.. no diaper.. the diaper lay open across the room... only noo poop! My eyes enlarged in horror as Maive paraded around the room, arm raised ( think statue of liberty ) carrying the tird rather than torch!
Yeah.. It's been one of THOOOSE DAYS. Thankfully this never happens, it has now, but it wont again!

Friendly's & a freeeebieeee!

Yesterday was almost a rough day. Woke feeling really icky. BY noon i was alright, and i spent the day doing 6 loads of laundry, folded & put away. Did the dishes three times.
{ no, i do not own a dishwasher } hint hint: my birthday is on it's way! swept twice, vacuumed and mopped{twice} the floors of this home, played with the kids of course, but all the while, i felt sooo down and icky. no reason.. just physically zapped. But all the while, i had a smile on my face and faked it for my kids. They are happier when they see me smiling. But when its not genuine it makes your face ache.
Thankfully Shawn asked if I'd like to go out to eat for dinner. YES! I don't have to cook or cleanup! Yaaay! I asked if we could go to Friendly's. Shawn doesn't care so much for it, but I do. I went there alot as a kid.
So we went.. AND I used my friendly's coupon for a free sundae that Kaley shared with us! yaaaay! Please check out her new site that just went live today! Me & my hubby's FREE SUNDAE!

Aidan's week off from school.

I totally didn't realize until the day I was picking him up for spring break to begin that, that week was Teacher Appreciation week. Aidan has so blossomed since starting First Friends Preschool back in September '08. He is confident, enthusiastic about all of life, and talking non stop. AND SINGING. Baby Maive and him love to sing the Wonder Pets theme song, although Maive only says, GOOO... and numerous other songs I've caught Aidan singing.. it's amazing I love hearing his little voice. IF you're kids watch Noggin, no doubt you've heard the "Spring is Sprung song they do every year at this time between shows. AIDAN KNOWS EVERY WORD TO IT AND SINGS IT! Aiva of course gets jealous and trys and sings over him.

My father came to visit on his birthday and was surprised at how different Aidan is.
Not everything is this uphill battle anymore.

Aiva is having a hard time with Aidan lately. With him talking and drawing and such, it's like "her territory" or something. She's always trying to one up him. Thankfully, he's to busy enjoying life to notice. BUT I DO. and i hope this phase ends. So we had alot of fun playing outside during break. Everyday the grass is getting greener.. and im anxiously awaiting planting time.. why? so maive can pick everything.. probably..

Easter.

Easter Sunday, well, Shawn and I were bone heads and forgot about sunrise services.. so we showed up to church, right when the doors came open and the service was done. We are pros! So we headed up to Oneonta, NY to have lunch at Brooke's Chicken House.
We waited 40 minutes in line, but had alot of fun making friends with strangers and since our children are entertainers there were a lot of laughs with some warm hearted "folks". It was so busy and noisy as well, so we were free to talk loud and be silly and it didn't bother anyone. You know, our kids are SO enthusiastic about life! It was an enjoyable day all in all. And don't you worry, we talked to the kids about the reason for the day, it was just a really watered down version. "Chees-us" Is what the kids say for Jesus.. it makes me smile. and hopefully the big guy himself doesn't mind.
